It was snowing on the Wednesday of Easter Week! So, it seemed a good day for a dinner stew. I had some chicken breasts and some “baby-cut” carrots (those little veggie tray carrots), so I started with that and designed a chicken stew around those two ingredients. (This recipe will serve four.) Off to the

A few months back, maybe a year ago, my wife and I were making the concerted effort eat more fish. For her, this is not a problem; she loves fish. For me, it’s a bigger deal; I was born and reared in the parched southwest desert and fish just isn’t part of my upbringing! We

I created this recipe a couple of years ago and have been “fine tuning” it, taking out some spices (like commercial chili powder) and adding others (cumin, coriander, fresh parsley), adding ingredients (garbanzos), adjusting cooking times, etc. And here you have it, the now final official version of Crockpot Curried Cauliflower. This is a vegan

Welcome to the Pantry!

Welcome to the Parson’s Pantry! Have a seat. Have a cup of tea (or a glass of whiskey). There’s no earthly reason why you should trust me, an Episcopal Church parish priest, to give you cooking instruction or advice. I am simply a home cook. However, I think (and my family and friends tell me)
